Budget Plan
The article from the San Jose Mercury News that could serve as my research topic is the article about the budget plan. This topic interests me because the budget plan and the budget itself impacts so many people considering on how it goes. For example when this past semester when it had taken so long for California is screwed alot of people over regarding their financail aid when they couldn't decide on a budget. Also it is something that definetly effects me and has effected me. Its also something that I constantly here my parents and people around me talk about.

Dude i dont get how me and you always pick the same articles but we always do!It is like we just totally agree on the same stuff. Haha. Well i agree with you. I think that they really need to pass that bill so that we can get out of this depression/recession. We are at a terrible time with all this economy crap. I think passing this bill would benefit everyone. Plus with college tution going up it is getting so ridiculous!
ReplyDeleteThe lack of cooperation in Sacramento has definitely affected me as well. After all, I am a student at a state university, but also because I got an "IOU" instead of my tax refund this year. Do you think that California budgets should require a 2/3 majority? I think its a terrible idea because it does not encourage cooperation because it is very easy to block a proposal. If it was a simple 50% plus one then the minority would have to cooperate or else risk having a bill passed without their support. It is all a mess in Sacramento and who knows how long it will take to clean up.
